Online Shopping Nightmare: My "Next-Day Delivery" Scam! 😤
My recent online shopping experience was absolutely terrible, and I feel compelled to share my story as a warning to others. This company is nothing short of a fraud, ripping customers off for services they charge for but utterly fail to provide. I fell into their trap when their site prominently displayed “eligible for next day delivery.” Naturally, I paid the $19.95 fee, expecting my glasses promptly. Instead, hours later, I got an email saying my order would take three business days. This infuriated me, prompting me to seek answers from customer service.
Customer: I paid for next-day delivery, almost twenty dollars, and now I'm being told my order will take three business days. Where is my next-day delivery? CS Rep: I understand your frustration. I see here that your order was placed with the express shipping option. 'Next day delivery' applies to the shipping time after the item has been processed and shipped from our facility. Customer: But the website said "eligible for next day delivery" right when I was ordering! It implies the entire process. You charged me for something you're not delivering. I want a refund for that shipping fee. CS Rep: I apologize for any confusion the wording on our site may have caused. I can certainly submit a request to our billing department regarding a refund for your express shipping fee. Please note, such requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Customer: A case-by-case basis? I paid for a service that wasn't provided! This is unacceptable. I expect that refund processed immediately, not just a 'request' that might be denied. CS Rep: I hear your concern. While I can't process the refund directly from here, I've escalated your issue to our billing team with an urgent flag. You should receive an update within 24-48 hours regarding the refund decision.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap of misleading delivery promises and automated, unhelpful customer support.
